I've used the Obi202 with Google Voice for years with a non-VOIP AT&T desktop speakerphone and it's been great. For reasons unrelated to Obi, I was looking for a new desk phone. I tried five different phones including models from Panasonic, AT&T and VTech. I tested and recorded each speakerphone the same way it sounded at the receiver end. Each of the new phones has been a notable downgrade. VTech was worst, Panasonic was almost worst, AT&T was better, but nowhere near the sound I got from the old $50 AT&T model. I finally bit the bullet and did what I should have done in the first place: switched to an Obi phone. The speakerphone is fantastic. Built-in Bluetooth headset (I chose Jabra Talk 2). Everything customizable (including the background of the display, which now shows my family photo). All shortcodes are configured through the Opitalk portal. Various skins are available to change the appearance of the display. It's really fun and works flawlessly with the Google Voice service for free national calls.
