Very good light, the bulbs supplied are brighter than expected - like a 40 watt bulb. No 5 star as they did a poor job of pointing out where you can actually use them. Regarding my purchase on 05/01/17, the instructions clearly state that the insulation must be 3 inches from the glass at all times IF using a GU-10 bulb with a maximum wattage rating of 50 watts. You would be going back to old technology with one of these bulbs instead of using LEDs or other GU-10 LED bulbs. The point is that LEDs don't give off the dangerous heat of the old halogens that used to be common in this style, which was an insulation contact issue. One could argue that the "IC class" is simply based on replacing halogen bulbs with the included LED bulbs. Bugs crawling into warm fixtures at night (not that they're dangerous, I'm just doing my best to keep bugs out of the house!). Bronze silicone at just the right angle to keep bugs out. It also significantly increases moisture resistance. Use anything other than LEDs, so heat isn't an issue with the silicone gasket. Replacing the bulb afterwards is also not a problem as the bronze trim ring is removed to access the bulb, making replacement easier. A thin strip of weatherstrip placed under the trim ring should complete the seal. The only reason I would be concerned about moisture is if you're installing near ceiling vents. Very happy with the purchase but didn't have to hold my breath hoping they would work until they arrived.
