I bought two of these coats one blue and one red for our large dogs. I have to say these are some of the best dog coats I have seen and they have so many really nice features. When you put the coat on your dog for the first time, you'll notice that unlike many other coats, it closes with a full-length zipper along the spine. This means that you first put the dog's front paws in the leg holes and then hold the fur around the dog so it doesn't come out of the leg holes while you close it. Then you will notice that there is a small clip on the dog's back that will hold the coat in place while you close it. Ideal! A small clip holds the coat in place and frees both hands to zip up. The zipper is set to have a thick, soft piece of rubber that runs the length of the coat and wraps around the edges of the zipper ends. From what I've seen, this makes the zip windproof and rainproof. There is a built-in harness that helps adjust the coat to your dog's body thickness. Even if you don't use a harness to attach your dog's leash, the adjustable harness provides the perfect fit for your dog. The faux fur insert around the neck is soft, warm and adjustable. According to the size chart, both of our dogs had coat sizes. I was a little concerned about this as they are two really different body types, one is longer and slimmer, the other is fatter and not as long. I just went with what the size chart recommended and they fit both dogs perfectly. They are thick, warm, durable and very suitable for dogs. They also stand up to everything our very active dogs do. They are indeed a continuous coat, but the shape of the coat does not interfere with any physical activity, including potty breaks. Please note that this is a heavy coat and will be too much for indoor use. Our dogs live indoors, one has a very thin coat and the other is shaved so we coat them when we go outside. At the same time, in a coat at a temperature of 55 ° and below, they do not overheat. I highly recommend these dog coats and will buy them again if the need arises.
