Review on Alfie Pet - Cobalt Recovery Collar for Dogs & Cats - Blue Color by Laurie Fitzgerald

My dog cut his ear with barbed wire. So we ordered this so she wouldn't scratch it while it heals. Your ear has a chance to heal, which was the pinnacle, so hooray! Luckily it heals quickly because I don't think this collar will last more than a day or so. The collar's plastic "bones" are pretty good, but the fabric is the cheapest, most tear-resistant flimsy junk I've seen. I plan to use my own fabric to "fix" the collar when she no longer needs it and we will put it away next time she needs it. So yeah, not the best materials for that purpose, but it did what it was supposed to do. Also, as others have said, it folds back pretty easily. So it's more like getting her hair done at the salon in one of those salon raincoats. Easy to turn back, but vaguely annoying. I would not buy this brand again. UPDATE: Her ear healed so we were finally able to remove the cone. Added photos of what it looks like now after several tape repairs. The stuff this cone is made of is THE WORST. Seriously, only toilet paper tears more easily. I don't think I can rebuild it from a stronger fabric as it was able to tear the plastic "frame" of the cone. I don't recommend it at all.
