My little 6lbs. The toy poodle chewed on the straps of his car seat. After much deliberation, I decided on this harness loop and attached it to the dog car seat with a strong Velcro strap, allowing my dog to be attached to the car seat. The harness loop is very well made and has a strong, well-sized metal clip for attaching your dog's leash. This harness and clip can easily accommodate a large dog. My dog can't chew on the harness because it's made of durable, high-quality coated material. I would check the belt if you have a large dog that can get nervous in the car and chew on the belt over time. My usage isn't the norm for this strap, but since my car seat was the perfect size and the replacement was useless, I thought it might be worth trying a little creativity.
