This is a very washable reusable filter.
I use this in my fountain. I get sand and scale in the water and use this filter to remove them. I clean the filter once or twice a month with a water hose. So 3-4 months. My only complaint is that the last 4 they sent me were taped together and I had to carefully cut the tape, not the filters. Otherwise a great product that I would recommend.
