Review on πŸ’‘ Satco 13PAR30 LED 2700K 120V: Superior Illumination for Versatile Lighting Needs by Brian Garrett

They also buzz with cheaper LED dimmers - how to fix them - otherwise I found halogen to be the closest.

I read that some people have problems with Satco LEDs when used with dimmers. They were no different. If I put them on a non-dimmable switch, they don't hum. Turns out you need to use a "low voltage electronic dimmer" to fix this problem with Satco lightbulbs. Guess what? These dimmers are more than twice as powerful as most LED compatible dimmers. I've tried six different brands/models and the Satco bulbs and LEDs seem to mimic halogen bulbs the most. The specs I use are 2700K color temperature, 800 lumens+ brightness, and 35-60 degree viewing angles. They're nocturnal and bright, have great colors, and dim well, but that damn buzz is loud enough to be heard, even when mounted high on the ceiling. If I had my own house I would invest in better quality dimmers. The only other caveat is that they get pretty hot too, way hotter than other PAR30 LED lights I've tested. I can't say how long they last. I only tested one. He's buzzing, so he's coming back.
