The straps themselves work and hold up well. It must have been a coating on the metal that wore off because after a few weeks the metal was causing a horrible rash where the tape was. I still have traces of the rash. At first I thought my skin was irritated because the area was wet, but after keeping it dry the rash was still there. Then I thought maybe an irritant got under the strap and after sterilizing the strap nothing helped so I realized it must be metal parts inside the strap. I have since painted the metal parts with clear nail polish and the rash is gone. In the photo, an elongated scar from a rash.
