. I've always had trouble finding sunglasses comfortable enough for mountain biking and these fit right in. Frames, lenses etc are all high quality and work great. At least for the short time I had them. The problem I had and the reason for the 2 star rating is customer service. I have a large amount of outdoor gear and have dealt with many of the service departments of these companies over the years. It seems to be a common theme with them that they want you to use their products and understand that problems stem from the nature of using their products. Since then, I've always had a lot of experience with outdoor brands when it comes to getting you through trouble. My problem is that I lost my frame and clear lens due to a mountain bike accident. The footage flew out of my head and I couldn't find it so I ended up leaving. I was obviously very upset that I had just lost an expensive pair of glasses, but I couldn't keep looking. Since I had only lost the clear lens and I still had the expensive Chromapop lens, I was hoping customer service would work with me and just buy me frames. Instead I was told I would have to buy a brand new set. No other options were offered, you just regretted your luck with the next call mentality. I would never expect a free replacement, but I would expect some sort of frame-only purchase option. I can't believe I have to buy a brand new set of lenses. The situation really makes me go in a different direction and avoid Smith when they treat customers like that.
