I bought it to put under the table. It is used to store a printer, some folders and files from a cleaned out ugly old metal filing cabinet. It fits *perfectly* where I wanted it, so that's good. There's actually a bit of extra headroom at the top, meaning it could easily be a good inch or more taller, which brings me to the main downside: the shelf space is only *slightly* small for binder storage. how seriously another 1/4 inch will do. I have the usual cheap Walmart three ring folders and they just don't fit. Aggravating. Then the file drawer is only *slightly* too small to stow hanging files in a meaningful way. If you use suspension files, you cannot insert tabs with plastic labels, otherwise the drawer will not close. When you insert tabbed binders into hanging files, the tops will be crushed or torn when you close the drawer. So all you have to do is use the usual folders with files and fix them with the bindings that do not match above. Structurally it was about as expected. All allen wrench assembly is slow and annoying, and at one point it was a little below average. There was one hole that I struggled with in particular, I think because something was slightly bent. Finally I put the Allen key in the hole and lined it up, after which the screw went in fine. As always, when assembling this type of MDF furniture, be very careful when using screws. They are very easy to take off. At one point is a metal latch that's bolted down with two of the smallest and weakest screws I've seen. Despite all the care, one page had just torn through. Luckily it's more about stabilizing that part while the rest of the build is done; Taken together, these screws make almost no difference. Also, one drawer slide works great and the other doesn't, although it gets better over time. There really isn't anything better in this price range.
