This controller didn't even last a month. I got error codes E01 and E08 after using my lead acid batteries for two weeks. Sometimes I got an error code as soon as I plugged it in, and sometimes I got an error code after a few hours. I am getting these errors on three different batteries that I have in my RV. I installed this on my original solar case (not my Eclipse model) replacing my 5 year old Viewstar controller. I called Renogy and they told me to check the battery voltage and the voltage at the controller terminals. I've done this before and both were at 12.4 volts which should be fine. So my guess is that this controller just isn't working for me and I should now buy another one and put it back in my case. Of course I will use a different model. I actually double checked the voltage after the Renogy tech actually questioned the voltage on the controller. I unplugged my Battery Tender and after a few minutes the battery voltage showed 13.03V and the controller terminals showed 12.94V. So I'm pretty sure my connection and cables are fine. By the way, today I have more error codes for EO and EO2, the controller goes crazy with error codes, then it connects and seems to work after a while. The connecting and disconnecting seems to happen randomly. On the other hand, the manual is a bit vague, on page 14 it says to set the "charging voltage" for the Lithium (LiFepo4) battery pack, but it doesn't mention what voltage to set it to. . There are about 21 different options with no indication of what they mean or what to use. It changes from 12 volts to 16 volts in 0.2x increments. Page 21 talks about "overvoltage", I've never heard of it, I know the 4 charging stages of a lead-acid battery, but what is overvoltage? I think I need to read about it. I had a lot of questions from my reviews of other Renogy products and recently bought a few items; a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, a DC charger (wait while I look at the manual for this thing!), a couple of PWM controllers, and a few other small items. I'm also trying to update my current Eclipse suitcase review with major changes to the "plastic blocks" that connect the legs to the frame, but I'm having a small technical issue with the website. I have decided to install another solar controller because of all the problems with it. I've installed a waterproof Renogy Voyager 20A solar controller and so far it's working great, no error codes. He also has a better manual, and it at least says that the "charging voltage" for lithium batteries is set to 14.2 volts by default. Too bad my first negative review of a Renogy product but it just didn't work.
