Description of 🔌 Renogy Wanderer 10 Amp Solar Charge Controller Regulator with Bluetooth Module for 12V/24V System

Optimized for a 12V/24V system; Deep Cycle Sealed (AGM), Gel, Flooded and Lithium battery option ready. Smart 4-Stage PWM charging (Bulk, Boost, Float, and Equalization) increases battery life and improves system performance. Intelligent protection against reverse polarity, overcharging, short-circuit, and reverse current. Backlit LCD screen displays system operation, diverse load control, and error codes. Integrated 5V 2A USB ports to charge USB devices. Compact in size makes it easy to install virtually anywhere. Capable of charging over-discharged lithium batteries. Integrated RS232 port allows communication with BT-1 Bluetooth module and usage of Renogy DC Home smartphone app. Power Source Type: Solar-Powered. Wanderer10A|30A Installation Notes: The default starting position of the Wanderer controller terminal hatches are closed (in the UP position) that could mistakenly look like an open wire hatch. Make sure to FIRST lower each terminal hatch by screwing the terminals counterclockwise (CCW) to expose the wire terminal hatch to the open position. THEN secure each cable by rotating the screws clockwise (CW) to the closed position. Simple Install: Fully open the hatch (CCW), insert the appropriate wires, and completely close the hatch (CW).

Best bang for your buck$$

I have been a licensed professional commercial solar contractor for about 9 years and have installed thousands of solar panels. I work with all the big names in the industry. An elderly couple at my church asked me to design a small solar powered backup system to power their CPA and charge their cell phones. I was just playing around with little things so I searched Revain to see what I could find and I came across this PWM - 10 amp charge controller, in short it works great. I was blown away…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

I bought a Wanderer 30A PWM solar controller and it failed after about 2 months of use. First the charge voltage was too high, and then the regulator got stuck on fast charge. I contacted Renogy support twice. First I was told that there was nothing to do with floating voltage and after the controller got stuck on over voltage, when I spoke to the support they told me that my battery was bad, they wanted to know when I bought it and insisted that I reconnect the bad voltage. controller and take

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Good but not great

Three things. about solar and wind energy

The first review of my life. I first bought it on 01/28/2020 for $17.99. I finally got around to installing it today. The first thing I noticed were the screw eyelets for connecting cables. was the opposite turn of what you might think. Normally tighten clockwise. All 6 tabs were tightened counterclockwise. The second thing I noticed was that the screw came loose when I tried to tighten the tabs. It was impossible to tighten the wire in the tip. Maybe thinner wires would work better. I tried…

Pros
  • Very impressive

Seems to be working fine!

They're cheaply made and you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting anything significant either. It turned out to be useful for my project and that's what matters. I have used Renogy products before and while cheap they are a little better compared to other Chinese fakes (although I'm pretty sure they are also made in China) but the quality is for the price, you pay, a little more bearable. obvious when you open the device and realize that there are no heatsinks for the mosfets. But I suspect

Poor controller best in generators and portable power supplies

This controller didn't even last a month. I got error codes E01 and E08 after using my lead acid batteries for two weeks. Sometimes I got an error code as soon as I plugged it in, and sometimes I got an error code after a few hours. I am getting these errors on three different batteries that I have in my RV. I installed this on my original solar case (not my Eclipse model) replacing my 5 year old Viewstar controller. I called Renogy and they told me to check the battery voltage and the voltage…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
