I just really needed a makeup organizer on the bathroom counter. It doesn't smell at all as stated by some previous reviews. This is a heavier and more expensive material, but the quality of its manufacture is low. If I were a picky person I'd probably send it back, but for me it does the job and I don't have to buy a ridiculously expensive piece of plastic to hold everything. At first glance it looks very nice. The drawers don't move as easily (like gluing) and there is a small gap in some seams where the wood should be touching, not touching (not visible unless looking at the compartments). There's also a small tear in one of my drawers where if you were picky you'd send it back (I think that makes it a bit rustic). So overall ok. Better than those ugly clear plastic holders in my opinion.
