I ordered S and M. The item says it's slightly larger to wear underneath. However, the little one was really cuddly with only a shirt underneath, the arms were a bit tight when moving. M looked a lot taller even with the sweatshirt underneath. I ended up leaving M, but the size difference between the two seems like there should be a size between S and M. Also, the seams aren't very secure, so I don't expect them to be very strong. I love how light and warm it keeps me running. For the price, my requirements are completely satisfactory. The bonus is that it comes with a small carry case.
