Very good flashlight set for the price. I bought several sets of different lengths to install on the deck and used a construction stapler to fasten them. I'm very pleased with how easy it was to install cleanly, as well as the quality of the light, just the amount of warmth we were looking for. After reading the reviews I also ordered a set of replacement bulbs which came in handy as some of them were broken on arrival. A year later, a lightbulb burned out, a socket disappeared (more on that later), and several lightbulbs were shattered by human beatings. A year later, one of the branches simply disappeared. It turns out that the sockets are not cast but soldered into the substrate around the cable. The outlet has two prongs that pierce the power cord to provide power to the outlet. I never found the one missing in the sock, so I ordered a parts donor kit. There are two clips that need to be loosened in the socket and then the back part comes loose. You'll need a tiny flathead screwdriver to remove it, and you can remove it one at a time. I was able to put the free dispenser can back into the original set and it worked again! Much better than turning off the light and much better than changing the whole set. I recommend anyone with a faulty outlet to press it firmly into the pad (towards a hard surface) or remove it and check the pins that should be sticking through the power cord. Conclusion: Yes, they are cheap and yes, they are fragile. But overall I'm very happy with their performance, the quality of light and the fact that they can actually be repaired.
