I haven't seen any improvement on my 2018 Mackbook Air with a Grado SR-80. You can get a higher volume, but that's about it. I tried lossless files. It's hard to believe the claims about the difference between day and night. Do people hear with their ears or with their minds? Are you convinced that you have "golden ears" and can hear the tiniest differences inaccessible to ordinary mortals? I consider myself a perceptive listener. I am a classical music lover and I would like to have the best masters of my favorite music. I can hear the difference in bitrates (128 vs. 320 kbps). But that has got to be the biggest misconception ever created by the audiophile world right there with $1,000 cables supposedly turning any music into sparkling diamonds. Perhaps at a higher price point there really is a difference between DACs. But this particular element does almost nothing. I didn't bother trying this on my iPhone as I didn't want to shell out for a Lightning adapter until I knew what I was getting myself into. I tried this with Android and couldn't get any sound. There are compatibility issues with some phones (I have Moto). Much luck!
