It worked like a dream. We've read that a backpack filled with bottled water is a great way to calm your dog down. We bought it for our German Shepherd, Boxer and Pitta when he was about 6 months old. Back then, if we weren't walking him 5-6 miles a day, he wasn't sagging! So we bought this and filled it with jars of diced tomatoes (that's what was on the shelf). Two cans per side for our 50 pound pup plus a 3.5 to 4 mile walk was the antidote we needed for his hyperactivity. The bag came off, now our dog is 13 months old and while he is calmer and we don't have to use him every day, we now use him several times a week and the result is a calm, tired dog.
