Review on πŸ”” MA795DC Remote Strobe Motion Activated Alarm and Door Chime (White) - UniquExceptional by Instructor Niederhaus

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A toy. Nothing more.

1. Strobe: This is a joke. It's a light that goes on and off. This is not required.2. The alarm clock is loud, YES. That. But only after about 30 seconds. Waiting period. At this point, the robber is already in your bedroom or leaving you with valuables. In my opinion, the time until the start is too long. (And this is my second cheap alarm, the $7 version was faster but broke after 6 months of use.) 3. Sorry I'm an engineer, how do I do this? Set the internal code to the code of the remote control, put in batteries (by the way: all AA or 9V DC, or an adapter?) I have no idea, it's not mentioned anywhere on the packaging or in the instructions. So I don't know if the backup batteries are for each other or not.4. The battery compartment is sturdy. Batteries must be connected. And pulling them out is another story.5. The 9V battery sticker wasn't positioned correctly so I had to figure out where the + and - were in order to get this thing to work. Connection does not give you any indication as both connections are identical.6. I'm still not entirely sure when it's in focus or out of focus as I don't get a beep or anything to confirm. All I see is a flashing red light: exit delay; then I know he's armed. BUT: I have to press the remote control many, many times. Anyway, maybe I only have "Monday". On a positive note, the build quality of the remote and the device itself looks good and is higher quality than the rest of the cheap Chinese stuff. As I live abroad where the shipping costs are higher than the unit price itself, I have no way of claiming a guarantee.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Minor problems
