MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP offers surge protection and clean power management in an elegant package. I decided to install my own LED-backlit LCD panel in my home after evaluating a number of other popular flush-mount power management options, including the In-Wall PowerCenter and Power Bridge kits Monster Cable. The low profile was key in choosing the flat panel and mount, and the recessed end caps on this panamax unit ensure the A/C fork doesn't push the panel further away from the wall. It took me a while to choose a location for a plastic work box (not included) and plan a route for a new home run back to the subpanel in my basement. I disconnected the power to the subpanel and then ran a new Romex 14/2 type NM-B cable to a dedicated 15 amp switch. Once the planning was complete, the installation went smoothly and easily. I routed all low voltage signal cables (HDMI, coax and ethernet) separately through the wall and kept them isolated from the AC power source (also with separate surge protectors). The flat screen now floats on the wall as if by magic and is protected from lightning and other surges. This is a great power management option and the setup looks absolutely professional.
