Review on Envision E3348E85 EcoSafe 6400 Compostable Thickness by Greg Stevenson

, I work for a non-profit organization where we have lunch every week, so our compost bins are almost full. We love these bags. We tried the most popular compostable bag version and they fell apart right away, but these seem to hold up pretty well. The popular bag weighs 0.65 mil compared to this one at 0.85 mil. Stout also makes a 1.1 mil bag. Yes. They're more brittle and less flexible than regular plastic (aka oil - has anyone spilled oil by the bay?), but they seem much stronger compared to other fully compostable bags we've tried. but still contains oil) which are better than plastic garbage bags but are not compostable. I would recommend these bags BUT sharp objects (e.g. box corners) will cut or splinter them. It's probably best to limit their use to compost rather than regular trash. And they need to be thrown out/replaced at least once a week because they are COMFORTABLE. Heat and humidity destroy them faster.
