The image in the mirror is normal, all functions work. The problem with this mirror is that it vibrates while driving, and when the car gets warm inside, the mirror actually swings down far enough that you can see the gear knob, not the rear window. When you first get into a hot car, the mirror will move freely and continue to move down until the interior has cooled. When I contacted the manufacturer about the issue, they basically accused me of not tightening the screw that attaches the mirror to the windshield mount.
