I have used them to replace original Circline CFL bulbs and ballasts in ceiling lights to use standard E26 LED bulbs. They come without lock washer and nuts, I reused the original fasteners and wire nuts which fit great. The fixture is near the base, you will need either candelabra or standard 3.25 inch diameter bulbs or smaller. I used a standard 2.36" 9w (60w equivalent) bulb that only uses one side of the light because I had that on hand, but I can switch to 2 x 4w candelabra bulbs for aesthetic reasons. You can convert the switch to a dimmer and use higher wattage bulbs if you prefer. I have enough space between the lightbulb and the globe.
