I've been looking for and thinking about this lamp for several months until I finally got it. The light works when you just press the power button, but not if you want it to connect to the app, which is the whole point of having a smart light. I double checked before buying the lamp that I have 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5. I followed all the instructions, both on the video and in writing, the number of times I stopped counting. I even had two family members. Connecting your device shouldn't be that difficult. I have many smart devices and none of them are that complex. More than an hour and three people later, numerous tricks we tried still didn't add up. He always pretended to do it and then didn't. It states that the device has timed out. None of my family is new to this, and yet, as far as I understand, we're here with a dead lamp. Will return.
