LG Washing Machine Drain Hose Overview Our 2016 LG washing machine has a leak in the front lower left corner (when viewed from the front) under the filter/drain compartment. A hole had previously formed in the black drain hose, which I "sealed" with tape, but this leak was not visible. Our washer and dryer are on plinths that allow access to the floor. When I grabbed the car from below (requires a few twists) I found that I could feel and trace the hose from its attachment point and indeed there was another "tear". ". I couldn't just remove the tubing at the junction, but I could cut it and use a piece of plastic tubing to connect the old and new together. The new one is longer than before, the tubing needs less bending and in my opinion, should last a lot longer BTW our LG likes to "dance" a lot, especially during spins I found that I could staple two sockets together with some of those furniture felt pads between them and the machines themselves that solved that problem and stay for now both in place and aligned.
