Quiet and easy to use. I have between the kitchen and the front door. It helps with some cooking odors (it's small so it doesn't completely eliminate odors, but I've found that if I cook with more garlic, the kitchen still smells, but my bedroom doesn't smell anymore). I don't really know if this helps with viruses or other germs that people (or my dog) might bring in through the front door, but it certainly gives me some peace of mind. Overall it's a little pricey for the range it's designed for, but I appreciate the quiet and the fact that I don't have to change the filter. I don't know if I would ever buy one again but I like the one I have. One suggestion: the way it's mounted, it won't mount vertically in most standard American outlets (because outlets are usually horizontal). not vertical I think it would look better and look safer if you could mount it vertically in a standard horizontal socket.
