Bought a pair of these to replace some of my wife's GM key cases that were completely destroyed for my wife's 2010 Chevy Equinox. After much research on the internet I have determined what it takes to complete the electronics replacement and what I will receive. GM key fobs are literally glued together, making disassembly tedious and completely destroying the original key fobs. But once you separate them, replacing the electronics is very easy. I removed the pin from the key blade on both key fobs and simply swapped the original key blade for the new key swivel bracket. During assembly I noticed that the folding spring on the new key fobs is not strong enough to fully open and lock the key by pressing the key button. So I just swapped the springs from the original key fobs and everything worked as it did originally. The included Chevy badge was flimsy and cheap, and you can tell it's not the best quality, but it looks good from 12+ inches away. But overall a great purchase! It works as it should (with 1 mod), looks great, feels like a new key and the difficulty of getting the job done was 100% as expected.
