You have a small 1200 square foot home in the Southwest with a mostly open floor plan. Find out that one unit is enough to increase the total humidity from 25% to 40%. That's enough for me. I've had cool mist humidifiers in the past and while they can provide a lot of moisture, they needed distilled water or they would break down pretty quickly. Apparently they disperse that rough water well too. This humidifier is fairly quiet, easy on the eye, very easy to refill and works great with regular tap water. I wish they were a little cheaper but would happily buy them again if needed.
