Works as advertised. I have no problem (see update below). The spot where you want the cone to sit is not flat and you have to be very careful to get the cone to sit. Secondly, smoke stains (see picture) will always remain where you put the burner. You can see the pink outline in the picture where the burner was. TO UPDATE! I mentioned that bumps don't like to stand up. One fell and missed the plate. A spot burned on my hardwood floor. Fortunately, the composite floor did not catch fire. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED WHILE BURNING! See also the second photo of the plate after a dozen uses.
