This product has been designed with attention to detail. I bought it because I often use my large iPad on my lap and my neck didn't like it. Now I put my iPad on the stand with or without a keyboard and set it up according to my needs. I've found it works well when the keyboard is set at a lower height. I moved it forward to the leading edge but it was very stable and the pads held it very well - it didn't wobble. It's comfortable at a higher altitude for watching movies, scanning, or doodling. It is certainly appropriate to use at a desk or table. , but I like the fact that it's comfortable to use on your lap. The packaging was minimalist and well thought out. Assembly couldn't be simpler, just four screws, an included driver and clear picture instructions.
