I bought this lid because I realized how my Mac hit and scratched and to be honest I now wish I had bought it with the computer and not about 3 years later. I have to admit I've had it for about a month now and the lid has already gotten a few scratches so it's not as pretty as it was when it was unboxed, but it still looks very nice. Everything clicked very easily and nothing has broken so far, none of the edges or even the tiny latches at the top corners of the bottom half. It does the job and I had an issue where one of the screws on the bottom of my Mac was sticking out a bit, causing it to snag on wood or glass every time I moved it across the table - a really big problem. and it was taken care of so I really can't complain. I only wish the lid could withstand scratches better.
