Explosion per dollar after recent price drop

As the dedicated photography enthusiast of my life, I've waited a long time for this lens to drop below the $1,500 mark and finally on Nikon I was close to announce their new AF-S successor, the price dropped even further and I was lucky enough to get it direct from Revain for the incredibly low price of $1348. This gave me an incredibly good lens for Florida wildlife hunting and any other type of photography, including outdoor portraits and landscapes. Unlike its successor, this lens has an aperture ring so I can use it on one of my old handheld cameras. And with my new D700 body it shines, allowing me to capture nature and people from afar with crisp, clear images, thanks for VR. With a scene lens, I can finally leave my other AF-D 80-200/2.8 to just shoot indoor portraits and leave all my work with the 80-400 AF-D outdoors. Sure, it has relatively slow autofocus, but for the type of photography I do, focus speed doesn't matter. For emergencies when I need to focus quickly, I just use manual focus to get going. This is a general purpose lens that will not be replaced by the AF-S version and if Nikon decides to drop this lens I'm sure its price will go up in a tough secondary market like my D700 did . Take him before he's gone. ! This is the best telephoto lens you can find in this price range on the market.
