We rely on a martingale style collar for constant training of our beautiful 80 pound Pitty. I always love a dog product company with a good history and the company seems solid. But the collar became dull and worn out in less than 6 months. Also, I don't know if the fabric has any stretch or if I was just in bad shape because our dog's neck size was between sizes, so (like most collars) we went up a size. We didn't want the smaller size to be impractical when working to strengthen the core teams at the top. But the next larger tent will provide the resistance needed to quickly recharge the dog to keep them engaged during a walk or workout. That's very bad because we love colors and patterns. This is certainly not uncomfortable for him as it is very loose. In addition, the quick release buckle of this collar is useful in an emergency. It just doesn't serve its purpose.
