I didn't read the block size carefully enough and it looks and has the same design as my larger Dyson size, just a little smaller. But everything else is exactly the same. One airflow chamber is a padded flat filter and the second, more complex filter chamber is an impact filter (pleated filter) that offers some serious filtration. The combination keeps the finer dust in a vacuum rather than ejecting it into the air. I would recommend two things if you are sensitive to dust and allergens. First, toss your Dyson's bin in an outdoor bin or bag. Clean twice and clean or shake this filter outdoors. It can also be washed, but it will take time to dry, so place it in front of a fan or air source to help. Good replacement filters for Dyson, right size, be sure to check the model as I didn't. highlighted.
