I'm buying this for my bird, it's a blue jay my son saved from being attacked by a cat, the chick would never be able to fly. So he taught us how to care for a baby Blue Jay and now Phillip is a very happy flightless 2.5 year old BIG bird living in a 7ft high cage. The vet told us that while seeds and fruits are good for him, he also needs "animal" proteins, so we feed him leeches (all kinds) and he LOVES THEM, he even cans as soon as he does sees us take a glass out of the fridge, he goes crazy jumping from perch to perch, he loves fluker's insects.
