It arrived at the homestead on time, the contents were properly secured. Other reviews were correct in that the plastic head screws were a bit brittle [don't over tighten] during assembly. Another review suggested removing the turntable mounted under the lower [bottom] shelf. This depends on whether you want to use the display rotation feature. If you're installing a 50-inch or larger display, consider removing the pivoting hardware. The wooden shelves support the weight of my 60 inch Smart TV. That being said, they tend to sag a bit under the weight of such a large [heavy] TV. As you can see from the photo, this TV is really too big for this platform. BUT, as you can also see in the photo, my Marantz center speaker fits snugly between the shelves and supports the center of the platform very well. I needed every inch of space between the shelves. The speaker height is 7.5 inches and the shelf spacing is 7.5 inches. I researched that before buying. It was difficult to find a driver that would give me room to mount a center channel speaker, but this piece was perfect for my needs. I needed room to mount the center channel speaker in the middle with the voice coils level with the left and right speakers. The Intel NUC R5i5RYH HTPC sits comfortably on the top shelf in front of the TV. To the right of the platform is also a good place for a USB 3.0 hard drive [4 TB] for over 400 movie files. Black shelves with aluminum poles match TV poles with a "T". I wouldn't install a Smart TV on a 42-47 inch screen just because of the weight. I managed to avoid this by sliding the center column between the shelves.
