I just bought a 46 inch Sony Bravia TV and needed a stand and shelf for my home theater system. This stand was available in two sizes. I'm very glad I bought the XL size! It fits the TV perfectly and my theater fits the bottom shelf like a glove. This is a well made and very beautiful product. It sits on a cherry wood cabinet and is a perfect color match. The TV on it is 43 inches tall and weighs about 50 pounds. I've bought the slim version of this stand before and think it's great. This should be almost the same, but wider, but it isn't. It is actually 31 1/2" x 15 1/2" x 8 3/4". This is at its widest points. The shelves have some flex. The interior height between the shelves is 7 1/4" less when there is weight on them.
