I just bought a 46 inch Sony Bravia TV and needed a stand and shelf for my home theater system. This stand was available in two sizes. I'm very glad I bought the XL size! It fits the TV perfectly and my theater fits the bottom shelf like a glove. The hinge is an added bonus and definitely makes my life easier for accessing cables etc. The unit is solid and light in setup. I assembled it in 5 minutes and no tools. I'll have to get a little creative to hide the cables, but it won't be too difficult. My home theater system covers most of the open space on the bottom shelf so there aren't too many wires showing. I highly recommend this TV stand/swivel. This is the best I've found and at a reasonable price.
