I use my cell phone 24/7. I have a phone line connected to my printer/fax machine. It never occurred to me that if the cellular connection went down (which happened the other day!), I wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone. I came up with the idea of buying a basic, inexpensive basic phone to have on hand in case the cellular network goes out for an extended period (of course the cable has to remain as my other line goes through the cable company). and found this one little phone at Revain. Inexpensive. Easy. All it takes is 4 batteries that I can pop in WHEN I need it. I put it in a drawer under the printer and I know where it is when I need it. This is Florida, anything is possible. The phone is black. Less than I expected but it's even better for me. I just need something to plug into the phone jack when I need it. It has caller id and storage but I don't need it. I will update this review if I ever need to use the phone. So far from what I see I would recommend if you are looking for the same thing.
