Ideal for hurricane prone areas.

Saved our fat because we had an injured family member during the hurricane! During the hurricane, we lost power, internet, and cellphone service. Our cell service was down for weeks and we had to drive a few miles north to get cell service. A landline was our only connection to the "outside world" during and after the storm. The phone worked great! If you're in a hurricane-prone area, I highly recommend using a landline!

GARBAGE! (ORIGINAL REVIEW). UPDATED RANKING. USER ERROR!

All I was looking for was a basic landline phone that doesn't require power in the event of a power outage. This piece of HARAX didn't even give me a beep. Dead when it arrived. I put it back in the box and looked for another brand. UPDATE: I JUST FOUND THAT 3 OF MY PHONE PORTS WERE BAD. THEREFORE THIS PHONE WILL NOT WIN. I HAVE TO UPGRADE IT TO 5 STARS DUE TO MY NEGLIGENCE ;-( .I never want to give WRONG information.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Too dumb

It's hard to get a good phone for phones and accessories

I was looking for a small, simple landline phone to place next to my computer. That would be great, but it's very hard to choose unless I have bright lights on. It has gray numbers on black buttons on a black receiver. It's very difficult to see. I've read other reviews about the short cable and didn't think it would be a problem because it's right next to my computer. But it still falls off the shelf when I answer it from my desk. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design
Cons
  • Security

Good phone but does NOT work as advertised as a wall phone

If it worked as a wall phone I would give it a 5 star rating. However, since it did NOT work as advertised, I downgraded the rating to 3 stars. I even hired a handyman to install two phones in my garage but unfortunately the part you spoke of kept falling off the stand when he was installing it on the wall after I paid for it. He is a very good handyman and couldn't get it to work. So I have to return them and find a phone that works on the wall. What a disappointment.

  • Like everything so far

Excellent landline phone

Excellent landline phone. I use it for emergency backups. Works without electricity, just plug it into a working phone jack at home. You can insert 4 batteries if you need caller ID or memory functions, but it works like a phone without batteries. It's lightweight, so if you use the short handset cord that comes with it and put the phone on a table, it's going to slip. If I were to use it for calls I'd probably wall mount it (easy to do) and get a longer phone cord. I love having the peace of…

Cute Little Phone - Phones & Accessories

I use my cell phone 24/7. I have a phone line connected to my printer/fax machine. It never occurred to me that if the cellular connection went down (which happened the other day!), I wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone. I came up with the idea of buying a basic, inexpensive basic phone to have on hand in case the cellular network goes out for an extended period (of course the cable has to remain as my other line goes through the cable company). and found this one little phone at…

don't buy the best in phones and accessories

One of Revain's worst buys in years. This phone gets most things wrong. extremely unpredictable work, sometimes calling, sometimes not; sometimes there is a beep, sometimes not; Caller ID only shown on day one, hasn't since; never saved the numbers of received calls. new batteries taken out for 24 hours, tried again; Replaced brand new batteries with brand new batteries to try and get caller id and call log to work, still not working. I should have noticed the horrible display design on the top

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
