I bought this device after reading hundreds of reviews of similar models. I am very happy with this price. I have medium brown skin and dark black hair. That's my experience so far. I've been using it for a month. I bought it because I have PCOS and a full chin. I use it twice a week on my face at level 5 and I have a 50 percent hair reduction. It really burns like being cut off with a rubber band and you can smell the burning hair. It really only stings in areas with a lot of hair. The cooling function feels good after the treatment. Hair grows noticeably slower. I use it once a week on my legs at level 5. It doesn't hurt my legs at all. My leg hair has decreased by about 30 percent and is growing at a much slower rate. The cooling function on the legs did not have to be used. Use once a week on armpits at level 5. Stitches harder than in the face. Only 25 percent hair reduction but had a strange side effect. I now have less underarm odor and use less deodorant. In my opinion this is a bonus. Use it once a week on my bikini area. Regrets a lot. It is recommended to use level 3 and the cooling function at the same time. 10 percent hair reduction, but the hair grows much more slowly. I have fewer ingrown hairs in this area when using the IPL. It's not a magical overnight cure, but with dedication and effort, it worked for me. I plan to stick with my current schedule of treatments until the hair is gone and then only do maintenance treatments. In one month I only used 2200 impulses. As long as it runs at a full 500k pulses I expect several years of use. I found the device to be sturdy and well made. I've dropped it multiple times and it's still working with no damage. I love the packaging and always clean the IPL before storing it away. I can fully recommend this product. I recommend that you purchase a good quality electric hair removal shaver before your IPL treatment. This makes it easier to touch up forgotten areas in the middle of the treatment.
