Review on 🚴 Enhance your Cycling Performance with SunRace CSM66 8-Speed Nickel Plated Cassette by Michael Lucas

I installed it on a new rear wheel that I bought for my Sun EZ-1 Lite recumbent bike. I was warned about Sunrace products, but every other 8 speed cassette I could find either didn't have the range I wanted (11-34) or had a jump of 8 teeth or more between the largest and that second largest sprocket. This cassette is 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-34 which is "only" a 6 tooth jump, still big but in practice much, much better than the 8 or more , which can be found on "Megarange" cassettes. I don't race and use very low gears when going uphill to protect my knees. So if this cartridge is prone to breaking under extreme stress, I probably won't run into that problem. So if Sunrace really is an inferior brand best avoided, well I can live with that for this bike. So far I'm very happy with this cassette and think it's a big upgrade over the supposedly higher quality cassette it replaced as shifting between 1st and 2nd gear with load on the gearbox is much better when going uphill at 6- . Tooth gap versus the 8 tooth gap I was dealing with. 5 stars because it is exactly what I wanted, looks great and works great. I will definitely come back and edit this review and subtract a star or four if the cartridge breaks, causes problems, or wears out faster than it should. Note for prospective buyers: When replacing a cassette with very low mileage of the chain, do not forget to replace the chain! You may also want to replace your crank sprockets.
