Review on G-Technology 500GB G-DRIVE Mobile Pro SSD: Portable Thunderbolt 3 External Storage by Raymond Doe

My experience with this product was very good. The write speeds on my iMacs range from 2200 to 2600. I wasn't expecting the 2800 speed to be correct as most non-Apple products don't usually match the exact numbers. However, there was a difference in using real time when creating videos. I had to redo almost 700 corrupted videos and these discs made my job much faster. I hooked up three of these drives to three different iMacs and what would normally take three months only took about five days. One of the most noticeable speed changes occurred when creating the thumbnail for each video. It usually takes about 2 minutes to create each image and create it through iTunes, but with these discs it was instant. The moment you clicked on it, it was done within a few seconds, instantly in most cases. A drive blew once, but I soon found that the lightning connection was very delicate, and after physically securing all the drives and the cables attached to them, I haven't had any bounces in the entire month I've had them. Also, they can't sit or be attached to something that vibrates (like a computer fan or a table that vibrates or shakes, for example, from a washer and dryer in another part of the house like mine). With this experience I would buy them again and definitely recommend to a friend.
