Review on Power Safely with Stanley 31610 SurgeMax Pro: 9 Outlet Metal Surge Protector in Sleek Black by Robert Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent form factor

I have 4 of these installed in my workshop, house and garage and they work great! While there are many such sockets out there, this one has a few features that make it easy to use and install: 1) The exposed screw holes on both ends are a huge bonus and make these strips easy to install. Just 4 screws and a few minutes and you're done, which is a lot easier than dealing with mounting brackets as I don't care if the screws are visible. 2) The bushings themselves are perfectly positioned for almost any application. I know there are other surge protectors with more outlets; but most of them eventually become useless, because they are too close together. 3) The direction of the bushings is also correct for my use. Not sure why the other lanes have the exits oriented sideways as the up/down orientation seems to make a lot more sense. Personally, I'm a bit surprised that there don't seem to be any other bands with these features. The price is right though, so I'm not complaining. We haven't had any reliability issues either, and they look great once installed. that there don't seem to be any other bands with these features. The price is right though, so I'm not complaining.
