Poorly packed - accessories and consumables

Item arrived damaged. A plug was not installed so the metal was bent so much that the plug didn't fit at all. Also, it arrived later than the promised 2-day delivery.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Empty

Disappointed I used a Stanley before

Disappointed my wand/surge protector came with a broken socket. I've tried plugging in multiple devices but there's no power, all other outlets work fine.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Frequency

Free sockets. c Line filter

Sockets do not hold plugs well, especially two-prong cords. This makes the whole expansion feel cheap, but it needs to be done. However, I like the number of outlets and the form factor of this power strip. Too bad the rest is crap.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • old

This outlet has made my tool box more functional!

This socket was the perfect addition to my tool box! I kept looking for it but didn't feel like spending $40 for the same length. I stumbled across this one thinking it was a reputable name and as I have several other Stanley products that work well I went with it and bought this one. All in all it was a very good buy.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some little things

If you only need 15A this is perfect. So it's not.

Almost perfect but the 15A switch is a must for shop use. Would you like to use a saw and a shop vacuum at the same time? Forget it. There may be 15A circuits somewhere, but I don't have them. A modest 20A household circuit will easily work with the same saw and shop vacuum plus a fan on a stand and work lights. I took it apart to change the fuse but there was no hope for that. He's sewn up. I took it off and put it in my wife's sewing room. This is not a workshop. Stanley knows best. Now I…

Stanley - Poor workmanship and packaging.

Ordered two of these. One was unemployed. I had to open the bus cable and solder it to the panel. The factory did not screw or solder. Poor workmanship and lack of quality control. For both devices, the packaging was inadequate and the mounting tabs at the end of each device were bent and partially broken. One had a plastic protector on one of the ends (the end was fine). The other ends had no plastic protection and were bent and partially broken in transit. The product itself was good but the…

  • Package height 12.1 inches
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Excellent form factor

I have 4 of these installed in my workshop, house and garage and they work great! While there are many such sockets out there, this one has a few features that make it easy to use and install: 1) The exposed screw holes on both ends are a huge bonus and make these strips easy to install. Just 4 screws and a few minutes and you're done, which is a lot easier than dealing with mounting brackets as I don't care if the screws are visible. 2) The bushings themselves are perfectly positioned for…

Pros
  • Country of origin: CHINA
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I have been an electrical engineer for many years and all of these test results are based on my own opinion. The package does not include mounting tabs or screws. You need to use your own screws or if you want to install it you need to find mounting tabs in store. The Stanley 31610 SurgeMax Pro power strip has nine overload-protected sockets right at your workplace. I use this extra long extension behind a set of shelves that hold power tools and assorted drill batteries. This ensures…

Pros
  • Product packaging width: 6.6 inches
