Download the required vinyl and tape converter. My iPad 3rd generation was unusable because it could not be updated to a version higher than 4.1. When I decided to try a USB connection and export the recording to iTunes on my computer, there was another problem with the software. The included disc (vinyl and tape converter) did not export the recording to iTunes. After investigating the issue, I found that the latest iTunes 11 update does not accept an export from vinyl and tape converter software. The end result is the removal of iTunes 11 update and all associated file listings. Then go to Apple and download Windows 7 64 bit iTunes 10. Once all of this was done, the system worked great and the audio was clear.
