Amazing idea with accessories

That's a great idea and it would be great, the only downside is when tightening it breaks the clip that is supposed to hold the rearview mirror. If it were aluminum it would be strong enough to clamp properly. If I had a 3D printer that could print aluminum I would bet on it.

Pros
