This skirt will envelop you in tule and make you look like a fabulous floating cupcake. Which can be good or bad, depending on the look you’re going for. If you’re trying for a slimming look, this skirt sits on your waist and just puffs out, so maybe not a good option. I wanted it for a day of the dead costume, and while the skirt did create a dramatic effect, it was hard to walk with. Any time I accidentally stepped on a section of the skirt, the ruffles and pleats came undone, so that I was left with the fabric hanging around me like an all-around train in different lengths. Which is the reason I will be returning the skirt. I think the stitching is not very secure, so I’d recommend getting it hemmed to avoid stepping on it and maybe reinforcing the pleats. For reference, I’m 5’4 +174 lbs, and ordered a large.
