You will need to do 5 full turns of teflon tape on the male part of the gauge before screwing the garden hose adapter onto it and then pulling it all the way down, it looks like you can. no longer rotate or stops. This was the only way to stop the leak. The main reason for the leak is that you have a steel fitting and a brass fitting, both of which must be the same material, which is why I gave four stars. Also refer to the label on the side of the meter for piercing a vent hole in the rubber stopper at the top of the meter or cutting off the tip of the stopper. From this point on, the pressure gauge must be installed or held vertically so that no oil escapes. If you don't vent, the gauge will go high first and then gradually lower, but that can't be good for the gauge. Everything seems accurate, but I haven't checked with other sensors.
