This makes the phone heavy and bulky. Smells terrible. It doesn't allow your phone to be on display (relevant to mom). I usually take my phone out of all this because it's difficult to use in a wallet. I really need a card attached to a case when trying to buy something without Apple Pay. This is no different than simply having a wallet separate from your phone. It closes well and the strap helps if that's the only thing you're taking with you, it's just big and heavy and bulky.
