Great idea, breaks easily

This would be a fantastic toy if it didn't break so easily. My son (8 years) had two of these and each time the brace broke within a few days of use. He bought the first one with the money he had saved. The second was a Christmas present. He's not a reckless kid and generally takes care of his stuff so I figured when the first one broke it was an accident. Unfortunately, the second one broke just as quickly. In each case, the aircraft propeller broke off at the point of attachment in such a way that it could not be glued or reattached. To be honest, you might have better luck if your child has a bike with training wheels or a bike that isn't as likely to fall off. In our case, the plane collapsed as the motorcycle slid down from where it hit the wall. (His bike doesn't have a kickstand since it's BMX style.) I wish it was metal instead of plastic so it can take a little more wear and tear.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Requires outlet
